I want to tell you about the well accomplished photographer and a friend, Mary Haggerty. Etsians will know her as MagicIsland or PhotoAmerica. She has been featured many times on Etsy's front page as well as the Storque.
Mary has been a photojournalist for over 14 years and her work has appeared in The New York Times as well as the Associated Press. Her book titled, American Journal documents a collection of off beat small town road trips.

Not only is her work stunning but she is a true gem. She is one of the finest people I have meet in quite some time. Not to mention a wonderful mother. She currently resides on Ocracoke Island, a tiny barrier island on the Outer Banks. Island life suites her work well. This photograph of an old kitchen in Portsmouth adorns my kitchen wall. Check out her island shop and Magic on your next trip to Obx.
Be sure to check out her island work at http://magicisland.etsy.com/ and her other fine photography shop at http://photoamerica.etsy.com/
