My quest for cooking. Pie # 1: Rhubarb-Strawberry Pie!
I made this delicious summer pie last week after finding inspiration in a new book. "Sweety Pies, An Uncommon Collection of Womanish Observations with Pie" by Patty Pinner. I'm not much of a cook and get that oh brother feeling everyday around 4:30pm. My mission is to learn to cook as its rather required being a mom. Two cute eyes peer around the corner every afternoon, "what's for dinner?"
However when it comes to baking, I find my confidence. And this delightful new book helped me find my stride. I picked up two Rhubarb roots at a local market, fresh strawberries and whipped up this confection.
