After 9 years- yes 9 anos, we took a real vacation! To the heavenly Outer Banks of North Carolina. We headed South this time to the more remote Hatteras Island and spent a full 7 days in the town of Rodanthe. The same one they filmed part of the movie, Nights in Rodanthe.
And it was fabulous! My recent pursuit is for experience and less stuff. I've returned home with a new feeling of joy and we are already planning our next visit. Jack and Luke, our boys had a ball at the beach which was right outside our window.
Highly recommend Rodanthe- Not a single chain store around but plenty in the way of fun and beauty.
